I’ve been in touch with Lina for some time, and she recently reached out to me for help creating this fundraiser. Lina is one of the kindest and most motivated people I’ve ever spoken to. Her dream has always been to become a computer engineer and to use her skills to build a better future. Sadly, when the war in Gaza began, that dream was shattered – her university was destroyed, and with it, her chance to continue her education.
Recently, Lina was offered a life-changing scholarship to study abroad. This incredible opportunity covers her tuition, but not the high costs of travel and living expenses. ‘My name is Lina, and I am a university student from Gaza. My dreams have always been simple and clear: to complete my university education and contribute to building a better future for myself and my family. But the relentless war has stolen everything from me. My home was destroyed, and I lost all my books, notes, and research papers. There is no longer a place for me to continue my studies, and my university has been turned to rubble. Now, having lost all hope of returning to a normal life, a unique opportunity has presented itself: a scholarship to study abroad. It is the chance of a lifetime to start over and continue what I began. However, this scholarship only covers tuition fees and does not include the exorbitant travel and living expenses that I cannot afford on my own. I am in urgent and desperate need of your help to be able to travel. Every day that passes is a chance I might lose forever.
